PLAN ROLLOUTS
Senior Design Lead
On the Elizabeth Warren Campaign I worked to communicate complex political policy through beautiful, accessible creative.
I pushed our team to develop stronger, more engaging content for Plan rollouts - creating mini-brands with launch graphics, animated videos, social graphics, and data visualization.
For each mini brand we wanted to keep at least one core brand color while molding the design to fit the subject matter. The goal was to make the plan content visually digestible while using our visuals to grab the attention of an audience scrolling quickly by, making an impact in the few seconds we could grab their attention.
For each plan we would have a large concepting meeting with a lead from the policy, social, creative, and research team to review the plan details, create top-lines, and generate ideas. From there, we had between 24-36 hours to produce concepts. I worked closely with a concept lead who would project manage and write copy while I designed and animated content.
Plans were often a very long, very detailed read; so I got the team to start producing short :30 video animations and longer carousel pieces to dive deeper into the content on social. I would story board, design, and animate these ‘quick hit videos’ to give our audience a different way of interacting with our plans.
